latest nvidia gefroce drivers!

what are the latest geforce drivers, i currently have 93.71, which are the latest in nvidias site but ive seen 100.xx in places but they are for vista and im running xp pro 32bit.

anyone got a link for the newer ones?

is there a 'best' driver to go for, if so what is it?

They are the latest/best/most stable currently for windows xp, the forceware X drivers are for windows vista.

If the Nvidia site says that the 93.71 drivers are the latest current drivers then they are.

93.71 for 7800gtx and lower, 97.92 for the 8800's.

what about a 7900gto, its higher than a 7800 (obviously) but lower than a 8800

typo. i ment 7900gtx. although ive heard you can use the 97.xx's on older cards, i dont think you'd see any benifit.

was there not some argy bargy on here about specific drivers to go for as some result in lower fps?

I tried quite a few drivers with my 7900GTO, including 93.71, and found 91.33 (a beta driver) worked best.

I have just had to downgrade from 93.71 to 84.21 to make Vanguard (online Game) work. I have persuaded myself that Eve Online (Another Online Game) looks better too.

This is not just me - it is a general fix circulating on the Web for Vanguard and some Nvidia Cards. I use a 6200 currently.

If you extract the xp drivers for the 8800 cards and copy an inf from a previous version, or add the support for your card then you can use them and they work fine.
