Q6600 @3.6ghz, 1.4125 vcore.

Cheers pneumonic, the cpu and cooler are getting lapped this incoming week. A workmates brother is gonna do it for me as he's doing his own cpu and im unable to get the time myself, besides a lot of my working day is spent sanding things and i hate it with a passion:D

well at minimum I would hope it will even your temps out which should give you some more room to play with.. at best it will drop them a few degrees and even them which you might seen another 200mhz on.. depending on how much juice the CPU needs.. I more guestimate that you will need somewhere around 1.5v load for 3.8ghz

Quite pleased with the low voltage required for the clockspeed what with the latest q6600s requiring quite high voltage. Would like to see just how much faster i can get it after lapping, and maybe look into replacing the fans on the true for something a bit more powerful.

Cheers cob. It certainly helps when the p5q is such a good board to work with. I was a bit wary about getting a q6600 after reading about the latest batches being volt hungry. First ran this chip on my old 680ia1 board where i got it to 3.0ghz before the board died. Had to go without a desktop rig for a few weeks till i bought the deluxe. Certainly a great board with the q6600.:)

Nice job. How long have you run Prime? Thought i had mine stable at 3.4 with 1.35v but had an error on the 64k test, after just over 3 hours. Was alittle dissapointed as it was absolutely fine up until then!

I always run prime95 for 8 hours minimum small fft test for the cpu, and then 3 or 4 hours blend to test the memory. I know my memory is ok because its running at stock at the minute 4-4-4-15 timings on its proper voltage of 2.02 (2.1 true on a p5q dlx board) gave it a few hours on blend today just to be sure and it came out ok:)
