Never realised! I am kind of scared about cleaning it! Could it be that my extreme manipulation caused that graininess?

I suppose I better test at f/22 to see just how grimey it is!

Sensors are easy peasy to clean Nothing to be scared about. Just get the kit and gerrit sorted!!

Okay fine!

I will go down to my local dealers and get a medium blower brush.

Then I will go to my camera menu, select 'clean CCD' squeeze the brush and hope I have enough battery power to complete the clean! Then switch it off, and try my camera out on the sky or another blank canvas before trying again!

I had a Hoya R72 infra red filter on my 50mm lens when I took shot numbers two to five but I had no tripod (and still have no tripod) so I used a combination of really slow shutter speeds (not enough to cause camera shake) a high ISO and hand held them all. The shed shots (two to four) are from my local park and there was really harsh sunlight when they were being taken.

Well I have been a little busy

Just cleaned my sensor...with a blower brush..only to find there is a murcy dot on my TFT which just will not disappear! There was me thinking it had something to do with stubborn dirt on my sensor!

Anyway, I did a bit less editing and came out with these two:

Went through Noiseware filter with this one.

That padlock on the shed.

As for the critique - I did intend to get the results you all can see on the original post but I always had a thought on the back of my mind that went "Far too much messing in RawShooter"

I would not call any of your comments harsh...just honest, which is always good and very helpful to the learning photographer!

Get the proper kit: Eclipse fluid (£7.99), pec pads (£5.99) & a SensorSwipe (from http://www.pbase.com/copperhill/ccd_cleaning) and do it properly. This will give you enough stuff to clean your sensor merrily until you're about 60

Okay, I did the clean and ended up with less dust :confused:

Maybe I was just lucky!

But I will give it a proper clean tomorrow with the proper equipment.
