Wow :D Done on PC not by hand obviously (not exactly sober here lol)?

For some reason it reminds me of the Matrix when the IT bloke asks Neo if he wants to see the lady in red some time. Random, I know!

was done by hand :D 50% using a tablet, and the mouse was in my hand when creating it :P

thanks for the comments guys

I love it,would it be possible to have as a Pc wallpaper theme 1920x1200 pretty please

it's not the right proportion to fit that res man and I wouldn't want to post a high res version tbh :( sorry!

I like that, do these pictures get printed out and hung up on a wall?

this one will yes, at 60"x20" on a canvas :)

Do you take the photos as well or find source images? How big is it printed?
I take my own photos on occasion but these images were provided for me by the girl that had the canvas done. I mainly use Istock/SXC etc

Thanks for the comments guys

Oh that, i thought you posted 'do these pictures get printed out and hung up on a wall?. not that it makes silversurfer slow.. just yeah. misunderstanding

In summary; i don't memorize every post in threads that i've made.

Ever heard of a portfolio? Artists have to show off their work. Can you imagine a customer expecting to be the only person to decide who sees the product? I can't, as I would expect the artist to want to pimp their work.

took the words out of my mouth, the couple who had it done don't mind at all - they're having a canvas made out of it for gods sake lol they want as many people to see it as possible

It'll look a fair bit cropped on that size canvas won't it? It's more like 3:2 than 3:1

Well spotted ;) this version is cropped..

as for costs, this is a very specialist job - they have money, the girl is a model and was insistent that this be like my other work and put a lot of time in it as they will pay- not to mention this is on the largest canvas I do. i charged £1800 for it. it was a big job...

most canvas commissions i do are nowhere near that much and can range from 100 - 2k

Amazing work, have you ever been in Computer Arts? Definitely worthy of a showcase :)

Im an archi student which involves having to create many visualisations and I mainly use photoshop with some illustrator and occasionally rhino/sketchup+podium for 3d.

Id be interested to know if you use any other programs and what tablet u use?

thanks mate :). I've been in Advanced Photoshop magazine, about 2 years ago now.

I was suspended for spamming.

I didn't create the work, was just an easy/sneaky way of advertising the fact i print personalized canvases, I could have used one of my other older pieces.

But it's the exact same style of what i'm wanting to push for my site and just saved time making one myself.. not cool i know.

I did actually a canvas job out of it. which is making me feel quite awful :-/

was just to save time, and yeah. was ****ty of me.

Call me a cynic but saying you've spent over 20 hours on a piece of work that's not your own (of quality which, to be honest, you do not appear to be able to replicate) to promote the fact you print personalised canvasses sounds like a lie to me

And as a reminder:

I think i would be able to replicate the same level really, not to be bigheaded, just being honest, I've got a lot of freelance work on atm and that style is what will sell canvases. I could have made my own, but I didn't have time.. so i just thought i'd wack that up to get some interest. And it worked.

and i know the rules.. it's the whole reason I've made the thread. it's sneaky advertising.

I know what i did was lazy and wrong. I've put my hands up.

it wasn't that image LOL..I'm not a criminal lol ..

there's no way that i could even print that image onto canvas it's only 72DPI..

i mean the interest in this thread got me a commission

This thread is a civil suit waiting to happen, and there are legit grounds too.

hahah no there isn't.

I posted a picture of someones work on the Internet, telling people i do personalized canvas prints.. that is not a crime.

As a printer and graphic designer, I know the ins and outs of intellectual copyrights etc

the design i was going to do for him was going to be designed by me.

was just a cheap way of showing you an example really. i'm going to give him back the deposit and not do it now though...

it's ****ing gay, but not illegal.

as i've said i shouldn't have done it. i've put my hands up and yes feel embarrassed about it.

what more do you want me to do?
