What are your thoughts on this config?

Motherboard: Asus Maximus VIII Hero Alpha
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-C14S
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 14-14-14-34
Storage: Samsung SM951 256GB M.2 PCI-e 3.0 x 4 NVMe

Will think about the GFX card when I have some more money. Will just run gfx off of the cpu for now.

If you give a bit more info on budget, what you aim to do with it, what sort of monitor you plan to run etc. Otherwise it is just a list and all I can tell you is; yes the cpu and ram are compatible

I would personally go with 950 PRO instead of OEM SM951..

I think GPU will be the key factor when picking a PSU to suit the rest of the build. Without GPU 400W will be overkill but if you are planning on going quad SLI with Titan X then 400W might be slightly under-powered

As Ben said, a bit more information (such as budget and what the end focus is) would be a great help.
