Hi all
Before bed last night I noticed windows had installed the latest w11 update. So I turned off as normal and went to bed. Today I switched on pc and it is now stuck with a unsupported cpu error and I can not get it to boot up.
Any Ideas what is happening and how to get around it.

If you can get in to recovery mode you should be able to uninstall the update from the command prompt.

Did you install Windows 11 on an unsupported CPU using one of the reg or Rufus hacks?

I'm not sure if a key still exists to get you in to recover mode from boot. If you have a bootable USB you could try the repair option.

Just checked on a VM and it's even easier to uninstall updates in W11

thanks guys but I am now back onto desktop......I downloaded w11 on my other pc onto a bootable usb and then managed to get into system repair and managed to get it running without having to reinstall.

But a heads up on this latest update it really screwed up my pc and dont know why. It was this one KB5029351

I tried to do a system restore using the windows repair option on my windows usb stick, but that failed and would not boot properly. I restarted again and this time tried to uninstall the update but that failed as well. I then restarted the pc but this time it booted into windows. When I looked at windows update it stated that the update that caused the problem failed to install so maybe it was a case of a bad update process last night
