A geforce GO 7300 should be fine for them games, it might play Couter Strike on max quality but Doom 3 would be only play on medium/low.

Don't expect a lot. I have an x300 (basically the 9200 varient and it is utter crap) and thats paired with a 3500+ AMD64 which isnt exactly slow.

I've got a VAIO SZ with a 7400 in it and it's surprisingly good for games, it uses 128MB of system memory via Turbocache.

I've found the sweet spot for most games is 1024x640 (it's a 16:10 screen) with 2x Quincunx AA, usually gives frame rates between 40-60 in games like Doom, Far Cry, HL2 Ep1 and FEAR with medium settings. The only games that are a bit jerky are Riddick and Prey. It's quite annoying that Prey isn't smooth because Doom 3 is fine, although there is a lot more going on in Prey!
