Latop to tablet total conversion mod

Excellent! Has been an idea of mine for a while - adding a TS to my laptop (laptop only cost me £8 so...).
Will be following this intently :) Good work.
 
FINALLY after faffing around with DHL I have my touchscreen overlay! Stoked!

However it is wider than I expected and a little thicker - I'm going to have to re-think the application of it.

The blue is protective film - it's actually pretty clear.

EDIT: plugged it into my office PC and tested it out - it's got a nice fine resolution on it and it's quite responsive!

looking to do this, just need to get a cheap laptop then i will be stealing the idea, well been thinking of it for a while but just needed to see someone do it so i could get the bal*s
 
Mine also has worked perfectly, but unfortunately the OS I was using was hacked about to run on the netbook, and also pirated so my thread was removed. Haven't bothered reposting because it'd be hard to talk about it without breaking this rule. :(

Still working on it - redesign time I'm afraid - I need to create a new faceplate for it. The original is not wide enough or deep enough to fit all the 'stuff' in it. I'm thinking of using a laser cutting company to machine the bits for me.
