lauchbar - what you reckon?

ok so i don't like spotlight so much, i find it slow and a bit, well... poo

so i thought maybe i'll try quicksilver again (always thought it was good but a bit buggy) but then i remembered i had a serial for launchbar from macheist II...

never tried it before and i think its pretty damn good... certainly better than spotlight what do you reckon?

Spotlight does me, I really didn't get on with Quicksilver.

I love it - been using it for a while now. Essentially a streamlined, more purposely put together QuickSilver. Still using version 4 - I'll move to five when I do an OS reinstall.

I do think the price is pushing it a bit, given QuickSilver is free.

Edit - What is the current state of play with QuickSilver, anyway? I know the developer abandoned/open-sourced it long ago. Does anyone use it at the moment?

I really like Quicksilver. I did give Launchbar a go a while back but I didn't see any major benefits over QS so once the trial ran out I just went back to QS.

Could anyone who has used both for a reasonable amount of time do a compare and contrast?

I used to prefer QuickSilver but now I just use Spotlight and it is fast enough for me.

QuickSilver is more than an App launcher and can be incredibly powerful but you need to invest time in it to get the best out of it.

Tried LaunchBar a while ago and didn't see the point at least wehn compared to QS and Spotlight.
