hi,

i am using a HTC Wildfire (still un-rooted :( )

i have installed LauncherProPlus to make it faster untill i can root, however i am finding the font size of the widgets stupidly small....

is there any possible way to enlarge the font of the Facebook, Friends and Messages widgets?

i will follow instructions on how to use SDK if thats what i need.

thanks

I think this is probably one the drawbacks of the Wildfires screen resolution im afraid

but FriendStream is perfect (enough anyway)

is there no way to open the LauncherPro app in an SDK and edit it?

i kinda need something to speed up my wildfire, and with Rooting being insainly difficult in comparison to phone such as Orange San Fransisco i would rather not.

Sense is amazing appart from the speed on low end devices, i have got till October 30th (at the earliest) with this phone, and even then an upgrade isnt going to happen for a while :(

i would much prefere to keep the wildfire if someone can help me ?

Afaik the font size is set in the widget skins' apk, and can be adjusted on a per widgit basis.

There's a guide on what controls what over on the LauncherPro forum.

oh well. thanks anyway, do you know any launchers that do allow widgets (FriendStream style) that allow for larger font than launcher pro, i hope launcher pro is changed to support that because its the best IMO :)

Why haven't you rooted yet?

There's no reason not to now. I assume you were also one of the 'waiting for S-OFF' people like me?

Well, wait no more sir! AlpharevX (search XDA wildfire forums for guides) for S-OFF, then use Unrevoked or whatever method you prefer for rooting. :)

As for roms, I tried CyanogenMod7 but found it very buggy and have been using JokerDroid 4.2 the last few weeks and it is fantastic!

i want to, but it isnt as easy as i would have hoped :(
i have HBOOT 1.01.0002 (vodafone version), do you think a phone shop will have an XTC clip to make things easier??

I had HBOOT 1.01.0002 as well. It was completely easy, no problems at all.

I doubt shops will have the clip or if they would actually do it either.

Have you actually tried alpharevX yet? If it's not working for you in windows, do it in Linux, dl a live cd and do it from there.

It's really very easy, I'd be happy to help you out. :)
