Afternoon all,

Since moving house I've not really been into the garden (light weeding is about all I've managed) and to be fair the 'grass' is now looking like a mini jungle. Roughly speaking its about 3 x 5 m in a kidney bean shape so not a great expanse by any means. I am looking to redesign my garden completely at some point but until then I'll need to mow my grass.

Any recommendations on an electric mower?

So far I've had a look at B&Q with the following

Bosch

Flymo

Don't see the need to get a mower thats too expensive as I dont have too much grass.

Flymo it isn't then :p

like i said, the 'grass' i have isn't huge.

If anything I'm going to change things around a bit. leave the shed / paving as it is (but obviously weed a bit!) then have a 2 / 2.5 m strip of decking full width then remove the nearside paviours for grass leaving a small strip down the left for getting bins in and out.

Would i be better going for that dreaded make of mower then?

The Bosch is a really good bit of kit. Had my Rotak 35 for over 7 years now and still going strong. But probably overkill for that area of grass lol.

Bought a Rotak 40 some time ago, before that I used to have nightmares about cutting my grass, often resorting to paying gardeners to come do it.

Now, I don't mind one bit - it cuts through even long grass like a hot knife through butter.

Think I'm going to lump for the Bosch but wont be able to pick it up till next Monday when i can get through to B&Q. Just need to get a pair of garden shears to chop most of that crap down first :D
