Behind you... Naked!
Been pondering this because recently 2 guys from different places have said that Lazers are NOT as economical as you would think?

Now, having said that, I have a Samsung CLP-300 and I replaced the entire set of toners last year about AUG because the black was printing a tad iffy and it turns out that I didnt need to.

When it comes to inkjets, I know that some models have been vastly superior in print quality to my Lazer, and some have not.

Right now I am cusing a Canon pixma MP170 and its a great all rounder with acceptable quality prints, and the ink has to be fair, lasted a fair while.

But the toner has simple not lost any weight at all since last year and the prints its done have easily been edging towards the thousand mark, definitely at least 650-700 ( Not counting you see...I am only going by whats in my head )

Anyway, I am considering a new Lazer... Only a cheap one... Sub £100 to be honest. Is it worth it or not?

Lets be honest.... HP Inks are only half the price of a toner and the toner does surely last more than twice that of the inks surely?

And I am only going for a colour lazer by the way.

Suggestions / Thoughts?

Thanks.

Now, I feel that the Lazer therefore has been massively better options for me.

well not having xp of those particular models and having a pixma at home and various laser at work and a inkjet in the office the laser are well superior saying that they are industrial quality networked machines but i was always under the impression for speed and overall pager cost once over the initial investment lasrs were much better

offhand cant rememebr which ones we have but they are huge will have to look in the morning when at work normally just click and send and go to the print room to collect stuff

for home use i guess it maybe a diferentr proposition tho

Well, thats just it, I agree.
My lazer, will be shared in my home, by all my PCs I may opt for one with Ethernet, I may not, but my router has the ability to shared USB printers and thats what my Pixma is using right now ( instead of through the Master PC )

But anyway, Im digressing...

I am 99% sure that lazers are a better choice than Inkjets.

The 1% I would say is that Inkjets are a bit faster and a better output quality, but in terms of value for money ( Over a certain period ), the Lazer MUST be vastly superior surely?
