Hi guys, I'm fairly new to overclocking and decided to push my i7 920 D0 a bit further. I was limited by stock cooling, but I'd see what would happen - here is my result thus far...

I undervolted a fair bit, to try and keep temps down (didn't want to go higher than 75 under load), and pushed the bus as far as I could until it crashed, then stepped it down a few and increased the voltage a jot. At current settings it's about 74 under load.... Is there anywhere to go with this except for fitting a better cooler? Could it be that I simply needed to play with other voltages etc. to get it stable at 3.8-4?

Many thanks.

Well I could not really see you getting stable at 3.8/4Mhz with the stock cooling on this to get there you would prob need to upgrade your cooler as a must I would say. Am sure other people will come along and say simalr.
