I noticed a lot of people on here seem to have LC17's, and I would if possible like some questions answered if anyone that has one of them could get a few minutes spare :)

1. Noise/heat... does this case have good airflow? Are the default fans any good or would I need to get some better fans? How loud are the default fans? My room gets very hot sometimes, excess of 30c and sometimes pushing the wrong side of 35c, so I need to know that it's airflow is good. Also is it preferable to install 92mm fans in the front of the case or is there no need?

2. From james.miller's picture of his case here it seems like a lot of the board is covered on the bottom end. Is this a complete nightmare, or is there some very easy solution such as easy PSU removal and HDD bay detaching from the case?

Thanks a lot guys, appreciate any help.

ps. There was more questions but I've removed one I've found the answer too

that piccies a little misleading due to the angle, the psu doesn't overlap the mobo at all, it just looks like it does.

as for your other questions i can't help you i'm afraid, as i only got my LC17B on friday, & didn't realise it only comes with the rear 80mm fans included, how ever, i do plan on sticking different fans in there, maybe Xilence redwings. i "might" even mod the case for a 120mm fan right next to the heatsink, as i'm gonna be using a scythe mini ninja so i should just about have the clearence for it inside the case.

Ah ha! You're right the original picture I posted is misleading I was under the assumption the PSU cover the board. Thanks a lot for the clarification :)

If anyone can answer the first question I would be very appreciate, wanting to order this case tomorrow and need to know if I need/should get better/extra fans.

I did check out that case also, however decided on the LC17 because of the minor issues that seem to come with that case. One of them was that the VFD kills airflow from any front fans installed because it's blocking it. Plus I wasn't really a fan of the looks of the case - prefered the LC17's more simplistic style :)

According the review on SCPR which compared the cases they are pretty much identical apart from the VFD issues and the hard drive layout. The fans are meant to be okay however they hit about 30db~ when at max which is kinda higher than I wanted so I might just get some new fans if I can't get a opinion from someone on whether they are that loud or not.

I'm still 50/50 whether my CNPS9700 will fit inside the case. Apparantly an Ultima 90i fits in it which is 139mm high, and the CNPS9700 is 142mm so I'm hoping it will.

well the case only comes with the 2 rear 80mm fans so if you do order it you will have to order fans for the front & side anway, as to be honest, theres no way you can populate your hdd racks with out fans in them other wise your hdd's are gonna be toast.

Yeah I think I'll just get new fans all round. Was thinking some Sharkoon 2000 Silent Eagles for the back and front, seemingly they are only 17.5 dbA at full whack. Can't fit a one on the side due to the size of the CPUcooler unfortunately. Thanks for the reply :)
