lcd and motion sickness

hi guys I was hoping you could help me out.
I am in a position of needing to buy a smaller TV (I've got a 42 inch plasma), as I am going to be moving about for a few years and it just not viable to cart the plasma with me.
looking for something between 26-32 inch, my problem is all lcd TV's I've seen so far make me feel sick when watching, is there anything in the £200 to £350 price range (ideally the lower end of the price range) that copes with motion as well as a plasma? or if not some ware close. I am guessing not as plasmas refresh at around 600 I think.
any ideas guys:( I could really use your help

No TV refreshes at 600HZ or even 120HZ officially (some can be clocked to 120HZ for PC use not Cable/Sky use) its marketing BS/Pseudo HZ.

thanks for your reply, buts its nothing to do with the backlight. my monitor is non pwm and it still does it, it is as I mentioned the motion blur on lcd's cause this for me,i can see the movement blur. plasmas(for what ever reason do not have the same issue handling motion). any ideas on tvs that fit my criteria to look at?
 
cheers mate I don't think they do a non tn panel (ips) in high hz do they? and tn looks terrible to me 27inch would be fine if I can find a suitable one

Don't think there's much you can do. Motion blur is one of the inherent flaws of LCD technology. There are motion processing features on some TV's which will resolve the blur either partially or entirely, but they often introduce other problems.

For example my Sony W6 has backlight blinking which actually seems to completely remove motion blur, but lowers the screen brightness significantly and causes flickering.

There are some select sets that have surprisingly decent motion processing options which won't cause significant soap opera effect, motion artifacting, flicker...etc whilst reducing blur and judder but these are usually the higher end models which generally aren't produced at the sizes you're looking at, as well as being quite costly. Have a look at some of the reviews on HDTVtest and AVforums. I've seen a few where they've commended the motion processing and actually recommended its use not just for sports but for films too which is rare for them so it must be good. As I said before though these will probably be the higher end sets out of your price and size requirements.

I'm kind of surprised a bit of motion blur causes you to feel ill though. Are you sure it's not something else? Do you watch a lot of sports? Frankly that's the only time the motion blur bothers me on my TV.
