i don't think i can use a damp cloth or a dry one (as there is things on the screen)

any ideas how to clean one ? i hear the screen wipes for them are rubbish.

cheers

What do you mean 'as there are things on the screen'?

I just use a slightly damp lint free cloth (glasses cloth) and that sorts it for me.

:)

I use a spray called Monster iClean. It's more expensive than the generic gunk, chemicals and wipes you can buy, but it's specifically for delicate electronic displays.

I have always used gun cloths designed to wipe sniper scopes with very soft and as long use you keep them as intended they will not scratch any screen.

I have some LCD cleaner and some dry wipes. Bought them about 2 or 3 year ago and still not got through half. I would get some if I were you.

most clothes work "ok" but can discolore the screen over time (only use lint free ones if you can). a slightly damp cloth is generally fine, just dont press too hard and dont use too much water so it then leaves water marks everywhere. By "stuff" I am assuming you mean dirty/sticky marks and not simply finger prints or dust, since they can both be removed with a dry cloth, which as long as it doesnt scratch the screen is allways fine (afaik).

i got this stuff called LCD Cleaning Fluid, came with a lint free cloth aswell. does the job. not too sure where you can get it though...

lol maybe i am crazy, but i use regular window cleaner with regular kitchen paper towels and never had a problem. been doing this for years

The big purple world of computers sell LCD screen clearner, or at least they did a couple of years ago.

im pretty sure that most of the big electrical places that sell hdtv's would also sell it if you are worried about using household cleaners

I bought some fantastic stuff from the online rainforest for about £5, Philips screen cleaner for plasma & LCD - its a gel and comes with a microfibre cloth, did an amazing job on my 30" dell and my plasma TV
