LCD Colour Calibration

well you could consider buying a colorimeter device, either something relatively cheap (and not actually too bad) like the Spyder2Express which is pretty popular. If you want pro colour calibration you'd need a better device but these are often around £300 ish, but something like the LaCie Blue Eye Pro (which is what i have) is very good, a rebadged Gretag MacBeth device.

If you aren't buying a device then you can calibrate to a degree through software packages like the Monitor calibration wizard for instance, but dont expect any real colour accuracy improvements with software methods, more a change to colour / contrast/ brightness levels which can make it a little more pleasing to the eye
