I have been told you can add black bars to the sides of games using profiles on PowerStrip, allowing you to get correct 4:3 AR on widescreen monitors that don't support 1:1 pixel mapping - this work?

i've been looking into this recently, and there was some discussion about it on these forums as well. From what I can tell, there is NOT a way of forcing "aspect" or 1:1 settings with software. No matter what your graphics card outputs to the monitor, and in whatever format, it will upscale it to fill the screen on a WS TFT. That is, unless you have those options on the monitor itself. I've not seen anyone able to do it with software, despite it being an option to try. If anyone can get it working, i'd be interested to hear

couldnt you just run a game in a window, with a black background or something I would do this but my pc doesnt like running things in windows dunno why :S but still a decent Idea
