My lad wants to take his PS3 into the realms of HD as he only plays it on a 28" SD TV at present.

He has to buy it himself but can't really afford anything special. I got an email from another website with a really decent offer on a 22" Widescreen TFT Monitor for £150. It has HDMI as well so I dont think there will be a problem running PS3 on it but I need someone on here who is in the know to see if it's all ok.

Specs as follows:-

Anyone know if there will be any problems with this monitor on a PS3? If he got it then he would replace his PC monitor rather than his TV so he would share connection with PC.

hdcp is needed for the ps3 because it plays blurays i think

i have read about people without it not getting there ps3's to work over hdmi

HDCP is required to use the HDMI connection full stop. It doesn't matter if you're playing games or Blu-ray over it.
