Strange. I thought I'd have a look and see what I could pick up. Ended up with a Xiaomi 10t pro. Cheap off eBay. No curves and the display is lovely.

LCDs have backlight bleed and off-colour tinge and IPS glow.

Why would you prefer that in dim lighting lol.

Also, any half decent phone with OLED has modes specifically for night use so whites don't burn your eyes, there is now night mode/reader mode as there ahs always been, as well as adaptive display and now in the newest models, true colour tone mode that uses the camera to detect ambient lighting and colour and adjust the output best suited to those colours.

This is simply not the case with what i've used. Having an off white is preferable in the dark, but certainly no glow is apparent. I still use my old phone for reading at night as my current Pixel 4a phone isn't of a good experience for that use, even with night light and extra dim on.

I prefer LCD on a phone. Better in daylight and whites aren't blazing in the dark, even on dimmest/nightlight filter it's too bright. For media OLED is nicer by far.

Bring back small phones too!

depends on the phone, my samsung I can dim it to the point its too dim in a dark room.
