Hey,
I just bought an LCD TV from a closing down sale at a local outlet. They advised that the product was 'refurbished' and has no warranty and no-return. Sold as seen basically. It is a 26" Samsung and after looking on a few websites it retails at £600 - I got it from £150.
HOWEVER....
It has a dark 'smudge' on it. When looking at a certain angle on a black screen it is like someone is pressing their finger on it - it is like a purpley colour. You can't really see it from normal viewing angle on dark screens but on bright colours/backgrounds it is incredibly annoying. It looks like a grease stain.
Now I can't take the product back, but is there any way to repair myself? I have heard of 'massaging' the screen and the like? Or is it possible to clean the inside of the screen or is this the job of Samsung repair guys who will probably charge me an arm and a leg!?
