LCD projector help

hey there, first post in here
anyways

i got hold of a Mitsubishi XL5U and im looking to see if there is away to tell how many hours that the lamp has done, i downloaded the manual and it just siad about the status light flashing when the lamp gets to 1,500 hours and then at 2,000 it wont even switch on

anyone know?

yea i did have a poke around on there and could not find it and read the manual back to front

the image is really bright, so im guessing its not done a stupid amount of housrs

yea i bought it 2nd hand damm cheap

i did check the unit for dust and agian looks like it has not been used for long filters are a little dusty but not bad, the image does look good! watched a movie on it and hooked it up to my pc for a while and colours are spot on and really bight, even in lamp saving mode

im just looking on ebay and theres a lamp on there atm i might buy it for a spare...

even if after 2000 hours i will just reset the thing to see if i can get more out of it
