Well my trusty CRT exploded and almost killed me so I think now seems like a good time to buy my first LCD monitor. I have roughly £200 to spend (maybe a bit more) and I'm looking for a 22-24 inch for gaming. I've searched the forums and read different posts, but some people recommend a certain monitor then some say it's not so good and recommend another... so I'm not sure which to get!
I've been looking at these 2 because my CRT was an iiyama and it was amazing:
Iiyama ProLite E2407HDS 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor
Iiyama ProLite B2409HDS 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor
The only difference I can see is that the 2nd one has 20000:1 contrast ratio compared to 10000:1 that the 1st has. Is this really enough to pay the extra £20 for it? And I could only find LCD on overclockers, but is there a difference between TFT screens and LCD screens? Also if the iiyama monitors aren't too good (I couldn't find reviews for them) I'd appreciate if anyone could recommend a good gaming one.
Thanks for any help!
