can anyone help while playing modern warfare2 screen goes into stand by can here sound and only way to recover is to turn off pc it has happened while on net to just installed win 7 any ideas please.

When you say you can hear sound, do you mean you can hear the sound through monitor speakers, or the monitor is making a sound (like a buzzing noise) or is the noise from external speakers / headphones? Have you checked to make sure all the cables are connected properly (check the Power Cables especially, mine have a habit of loosening themselves - I think it's the gremlins). What are your PC specs? Is the PSU supplying enough power? What monitor is it as well? How old is it? Check with the manufacture for terms of RMA'ing it if we can't help solve the problem on here. ;)

Have you checked power saving options
the simple things are easy to miss.

new to this system was brought from overclockers just over 1 year old paid about £900 so it should be up to speck

i have updated drivers not got round to putting on any other games yet seems pointless i reenstalled win 7 twice i also have this problem during install when it says restarting i have to shut it down to reboot then it carrys on installing

hmm, are you sure all cables are secure, internal and external? PCI cards, rams etc. all properly seated?

Might be long winded but you could put your old OS back on to see if the problem remains...

If you can get hold of any compatable graphics card to test, that would also rule out/confirm a problem.

down load and run furmark, to check for the gfx card stability.

Does it cut out in normal desktop, (apart from power saving options)?

have reinstalled drivers ran test again i stopped it at 123c should i let temp go higher does test stop after certain time?

Ouch your problem is with the card overheating.

Check the fan is spining up to speed.

At least I think the driver problem is sorted.

What GFX card do you have?
