lcd ? tft ?

ok im no expert with monitors,
sooo

1: what can lcd do that tft cant?
2: what can tft do that lcd cant?
3: whats the difference, there both thin? (i know that lcd is rear projection and other isnt, dont know any other differences tho)
4: why is tft rare and hard to find?
5: why do lcd screen sizes go a lot bigger?
6: why do people have 2 tft monitors, why not just get a big monitor?
7: which gives more eye strain and most damage over time?

any awnsers would be good, thanks

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display and TFT stands for Thin Film Transistor. These two terms are used commonly but refer to the same technology. For the purposes of desktop monitors using LCD technology they are commonly referred to as TFT's. On the other hand, TV's using LCD technology are normally referred to as LCD TV's. It's all terminology though, both use liquid crystal displays.
