Hello all, I have £800 to spend (not including delivery) and I've taken a fancy to the Samsung 32" LE32T51B HD ready LCD TV.

Should I go with that, or can anyone reccomend anything better?

Thanks for the help.

The Sammy is awesome mate you will love it. As for something better, well there are a lot of sets that are on par with the Samsung around the same price range. They all excel in different areas so you should choose depending on what you plan on using it most for.

Standard-Def TV: Samsung is pretty good as far as LCD's go
Amazing PC connectivity and quality: LG 32LX2R
Xbox 360: Either
HD quality: Either, although I personally prefer the look of the LG.
Connectivity options: LG gives you and HDCP compatible DVI and an HDCP HDMI port, Sammy gives you VGA and HDCP DVI port.

There are many other sets from the likes of Sharp and Toshiba that also fit in to that price range. They are all excellent and have different pro's and cons, different connections etc. I just mentioned the Sammy and the LG as those are two I have thorough first hand experience with.

Your best bet is to take a look at them yourself, decide what you want to use it for mostly, weight up what connectivity options you will be needing now and in the future and make your own decision based on that. :)

I picked the 26" version up last Monday. If that's anything to go by, then I'd have to recommend the Sammy. So far I've been nothing less than impressed with it. Although saying that, I haven't really compared it like for like with another HDTV but for me it's outstanding.
