I for one am really confused with the whole HD malarkey.

I'm currently looking to get a smallish LCD TV for my room, been looking at the Samsung LE27T51B 27" LCD TV and the Acer AL2671W HDTV 26" Silver LCD TV.

Neither have HDMI but both support devices such as Sky HD via DVI.

What confused me is the HD resolutions, the sammy support 1366x768 and the Acer does 1280x768. I can’t seem to find any information as to what the differences are between them and thus cant decide what to go for.

TV is going to be used to play DVD's (which are played through my PC, so will go via DVI / VGA) and also for my sky which is currently non HD over Scart.

Which TV is going to work out to be better? And will the difference in resolutions make a great deal of difference?

Cheers :)

Excellent someone that has it!

Few questions if you don’t mind (sorry!)

1.) Is it a normal VESA fitment?
2.) What’s the sound like? I'm contemplating running the TV into a set of logitech THX Speakers if I can.
3.) Do you have your PC hooked up to it?

Cheers :D

I've not mounted it but I imagine so, Sounds is pretty good, nothing amazing but does the job! Haven't hooked it up but I hear it's decent on PC mode! Looks great via VGA on my 360 :D

Good stuff, looks like I'll go for that then!

Its taken me all weekend to decide on the right LCD, so many panels and all of them with their pros and cons :/
