Right i have a Samsung 26 inch tv that can also be used as a monitor, and i do use it as a monitor. I am having problems with booting the pc, and it is becoming very furstrating. When i boot it, the screen will be black and the red light will flash on and of. If i unplugg the tele and pc, it usually works second or third time and boots. My freind has the exact same pc and his works fine, and we even tried booting mine on his tv and it didn't work. My graphic card is a 9800 GT with the latest drivers...What the heck is the problem? Any ideas at all?

Cheers

So is the PC actually booting youre just not getting any signal to the TV? It would be strange for a TV/Monitor to cause PC not to boot. If it is booting but you cant see any signal maybe its a loose connection, the port on the TV may be damaged

If it is that the pc boots but the screen cannot be initialized then i sometimes have this problem, for me the fix is to reinstall my graphics drivers

I have tried re installing the graphic drivers and it didn't work. Could it be the 9800? Should i go for a 4850 since that's what my freind has and his works.

I sometimes have this problem, but I find if I turn the screen on, then quickly turn the pc on it works. If the screen is already on, or I turn it on after its takes about 3 goes for it to work.
