Hi, my mum wants me to get my little sister a TV, a LCD one, I was wondering what kind of TV I can expect at £150 max? I know i can defiently get a decent 19" LCD monitor for £150, but can this be used for a tv also? And if so how would I connect it? It will be used for SKY.
If not, whats the best LCD TV that has all the little dodahs in the back I can get for around £120-£150?

might get sky multiroom myself, cant be bothered to check what the outputs are on the boxes though for hooking it up to computer monitor

Any ideas lads, can I just use a normal tftlcd monitor I would for a pc for a tv also, plugged straight into a sky digibox? Does a sky digibox have a VGA out or can you get some that do?

you can get DVI to HDMI for high definition, google or try on an auction site for DVI/VGA to whatever connection on back of sky box =]~
just an idea! probably talking **** though!

Hmm that'll be ideal, if I can get a SKYBOX with a dvi out, how would I set multiple room sky on that? Just get a sky cable and put it in the back?

Does such a thing as a scart out to dvi exist (i.e. you can then connect the monitor to a tuner like a freeview or sky box) or is it non-existant (at a reasonable price anyway)

When buying an LCD, make note of its resolution, and its reponse time. 8ms is generally deemed as ok for tv and pc input. Do not get anythink over 16ms if you can help it, tis horrid. My dad has a 26" LCD widescreen tv in his bedroom, and that has a 16 ms reponse time, and i can see ghosting all over it... nasty.
