hi
my lcd tv has a HDMI socket on it and my graphics card has a DVI-I so i was planning on getting a cable to connect up, only problem is the cable-(Linx 1.2m Luxury Gold Plated HDMI/DVI-D Cable (CB-002-LI) ) as sold on ocuk says HDMI TO DVI-D but the socket on the my card is DVD-I, whats the difference between DVI-D and DVI-I? would i be able to use this cable?

Well if the DVI-I cables are able to transmit digital-to-digital or analog-to-analog it will be fine, as DVI and HDMI are both digital.

I was about to edit what I said as you said your cable was "Luxury Gold Plated HDMI/DVI-D Cable", but either way its still digital so it will be fine :D

one last question mate- if i buy a DVI -D to HDMI cable will it carry the sound or will i still need my phono leads?
