LCD tv Versus TFT

So to Summarise

LCD TV have tv decoder in

TFT go higher resolutions ,some faster response time

have I missed any other differences?

Although there are some slight differences according to some reviews, for all intents and purposes, TFT & LCD are exactly the same. Just a different way of expressing the type of screens.

Exactly what he said. In the computer world they are explained as TFT screens, and in the television world more commonly known as LCD. But both are flat screens, just that with computers they run the screens at higher resolution. Probably different terms to split the 2.

TFTs displays are a sub-class of LCD displays, relating to the way the panel uses Thin Film Transistors for switching elements.
