Think I have an upgrade itch guys! I'm quite happily sitting here and using my Iiyama E2710HDS LCD display. Browsing the MM and i've come across some nice LCD panels, would it be worth upgrading from LCD to LED? From comparison videos on Youtube the LED monitor does seem to have better colours and brightness though i've not seen any game tests.

opinions? :)

LED lit use less power, but it would take an eternity to make up a noticeable dent in your bills. SOME LED screens are superior in image quality, but a rubbish LED backlit screen will be outdone be a decent CCFL model

I had a CCFL backlit Iiyama LCD, even when new it was dim with really poor contrast and colour saturation, I bought a cheap Samsung LED backlit monitor and the difference is night and day. External PSU means it's a lot thinner and weighs next to nothing and the power supply doesn't start whining when a bit of dust gets in the back. The contrast/brightness and colour reproduction is far superior too.

That's an example of a bad CCFL monitor vs a decent LED... I had a Dell something or other 24" CCFL, an Acer LED monitor of the same size and resolution was horrid to use after.
