Hi,

I'm just wondering, currently running two monitors, one 19 inch and one 22 inch widescreen, and of course, I'm bored of that.

I'm wondering, is there any advantage to be had in using a couple of HDTV's (I've checked the resolution, up to 1920x1080 is fine for me) vs a couple of LCD monitors?

Monitors comes out slightly cheaper for the money, but the TV's are 4 inchs bigger. Decisions decisions.

Anybody shed some light on this for me?

Cheers

I would think you'd need to compare the specifications (response times etc.) very carefully. BUt if you think that some of the newer TVs run at 100Hz and better, they could actually allow you to exploit higher framerates than a 60Hz monitor (although I should point out that I am a believer that anything more than 35-40Hz is taken care of by persistence).

Certainly, some of the higher-end TVs have phenomenal specifications.

One other thing that could be interesting is the actual dot-pitch of the monitors. A 32" 1080p TV will obviously have a much greater (physically bigger) dot pitch than a 22" 1080p, so the whole thing could look a bit 'chunky' if you get my drift.
