So, the grid has been announced.

Looks like a good'un, but only 2 LMP1 Astons in attendance .

Never mind, we have Mansell Beechdean and Drayson in there as well, along with a whole host of GT cars like JMW's GT2 Ferrari 430.

Oh, and Jag are back

What does the motors brigade make of this then?

Theres a 3rd LMP1 with a different team, the 008. (it has always been like this anyway, Le Mans teams are limited to 2 cars per team)

I also thought that Pescarolo had secured another Peugeot to race with? So would be racing their own car and a Diesel? Or is that just in the LMS Series?

The Mansell car could be epic, atleast from a spectator perspective. I dont rate either if Mansells sons as particularly good and Nigel was well off the pace at the LMS series at Silverstone last year. Still good to see them though.

P1 and GT1 lacking a bit. GT1 needs more of the FIA GT series cars in it. Again, I thought some Maseratis and Nissans were going as the ACO has adopted the FIA World GT regulations? The Fords are in there...

And GT2 looks to be it usual epic mix with some new cars in there too. Hopefully will provide its usual close racing.

Cant wate for this. Are Eurosport doing there 25 hours of coverage again?

Teams are only allowed to run 2 cars - hence the 3rd is normally run by another team but is effectively a factory team.

Always a good weekend though. Love watching it.

I'll be following Drayson. Moved from the GT class Aston to a LMP1 car - brave move for them.

Team Mansell? Oh dear - that car is going into the wall at some point...

There's a good selection of Brits taking part this year as well. Nice to see Darren Turner having a drive too.

The other half is upset as Patrick Dempsey isn't taking part so she's got no one to support/dribble over.

Looking forward to it, but it does seem like GT1 are down on numbers

Yeah GT1 isn't going to be up to much without the backing of Corvette and Aston. GT2 looks like it's going to be more than epic though, plenty makes up for it.

I thought Corvette were going in for LMP1 this year? Maybe it's next year then.

Interesting to see the Lambo has ended up in GT1. I wish them a bit of success this year, like maybe more than 5 laps would be nice

Corvette are never going to LMP1 and never said they were.

Nope, they have gone to GT2 where the real competition is.
