Ordered a accelero to fit onto my 6800GT.

First the 2 pin connector is different, I've solved this by taking the cables out of the connector and strait onto the 2 pins on the card.

Secondly, the Accelero doesnt even seem to touch the Ram chips??? Does tis even sound right, there's about a 2mm gap between them. The screws are tight.
 
Mine had a thermal pad to put between the RAM chips and the heatsink. It's like a cloth thing.
 
Aye thats what I finally ended up doing, there were 8 small sticky thermal pads that were supposed to be for the back.
Stuck them on top of the ram on the front, and stuck the leadteck backing heatsink on the back, imo that should be even better than the standard accelero.

For the first time since buying my gaming machine (though its oldish now :P) is really quiet!
