LeadTek 7800GTX

One of the best makes, as from their G-Force 3 range, when they were newish like XFX were when N40 lauched, and now also a big player.

Get good name for OC'ing.

I have also just got 1 of these cards (to add to my bfg one) and unfortunatly it doesnt clock anywhere near as good as the bfg. Cant get the core to 500 and the memory maxes out at about 1.32 without any glitches :(

The BFg does 525 core and 1.37 mem

im hoping that adding it to my watercooling loop will help it out a bit.

from what i hear there tech support is non existant
I e-mailed to ask about replacing a the factory fitted cooler on my card and they replied within 2 hours - far better than I got out of BFG when I mailed them about an issue with my old motherboard - 9 days to reply!

Also, got a 4 day RMA on a GeForce 2 GTS from Leatek - not bad at all.

No two card are the same, even 2 same make/model, overclocking is not absolute, the BFG is OC 10% I assume as normal, Leadtek do have overclocked models also, there 7800GTX (had Quatro cooler on it) I seen was faster clocked one avail here months ago before 7900's came out, there is now the same 256MB one here no 512MB now though.

In some review it hit 530mhz core with only Nvidias auto find setting in drivers tab, we all know thats always lower than you can max manually and still be stable.

I will try find old review, cant mind if it was 256MB or 512MB model though.

" The giant cooler is finally given the opportunity to show off its capabilities in our overclocking segment. And we must say, the results were nothing short of impressive; the frequencies achieved - 530/1380MHz, surpassed the maximum frequencies that we managed with the ASUS card. This also means that the 3DMark05 score that we recorded is probably the highest single card score so far in our labs for a retail card. "

I had one for about a week (cheers Naffa) and it was an excellent card although I do prefer my X1800XT. (and naffa preffered his 7800GTX)

The one I had clocked to 530/1140 which isn't bad.

Add 0.15V to core in bios and it helps ram too funny though it sounds, but get cooling in check 1st as that alone can help OC.

didnt think it was possible to bios mod the volts on a 7800gtx - as they are already set to their max voltage (although have been looking at vmodding them)
