gonna be a bit stupid here i'm afraid firstly just got the above card and not havng one of this type before i want to be certain on what i'm doing

1. 6 pin splitter to 4 pin molex do i conect both molex 4 pin to power ?

2. 2 pin lead (red/black) that plugs in side on card where do i plug 2 pins the other end to

Yes you need to connect both molexes to the adaptor, but if you have a pci-e connectgor on your PSU then use that instead.

Not sure what the other connector is youre talking about? Can you get a picture?

I think it is SPDIF lead ?? maybe, 2 pin white con 1 end (like cpu fan conn) other is just 2 seperate square single pin leads, if so do i need to connect it ?

Is it the little connector by the SLI connector like mine has here :

If so i think thats the audio pass through as mine has a HDMI socket, if it is it would connect to the spdif out on your mobo

Yep, thats the one and just to make me look even more of an idiot, it has SPDIF on a label on one end
