Hi Folks, my Leadtek 6800GT just died with a month's warranty left :D I've had a look over the site but I can't see a definitive answer - is this a direct RMA or dealt with by clockers. If it's dealt with by Clockers I can just bob it in as I'm local, but if Direct I need to get moving.

cheers

If youve had it less then 12 months take it to overclockers. If not it may still be worth contacing OC as they may be able to senmd it on your behalf.

I asked this question not too long ago. You need to contact leadtek via their webpage and they will ask for your serial number. So provided you have registered with them. It should be a 3 years warranty but again it depends on the card IIRC.

Not sure about the Geforce 6 series.

Card was purchased on 28th July 2005 - Phew!! I'll bob it in sometime next week. It actually went quite quickly lst night- started artefacting / crashing on desktop while watching a movie, so I powered down and left it as it was quite warm last night. Booted up this morning and the Windows INI screen was ok, but then full screen crash with no output at all now on boot. 1st ever card to go in 5 yrs....

cheers

yeah RMA a 6800GT might be iffy, since there no longer made, you'd proberbly get repaired one back

Doubt it, unless they have one in B-Grade.

You may end up with anything from a 6800GS to a 7600GT, maybe even a 7800GT

yeah i meant perhaps a repaired previous RMA, when they might have just sent a new one out to replace the RMA when they still made them, but yeah proberbly 6800GS would be return card, which isn't a bad deal, since there on par with GTs so theres no real loss

Snap, mine has died too :( Sadly I got mine August 2004, at least it was around then so i'm guessing I've got no hope of it being under warranty and i'll just have to buy a new card? Sad thing is its AGP and i can't afford to go for a new mobo, cpu etc. right now!

Go through overclockers as you can as its within one year. I still have an ongoing saga with trying to get my 6800GT replaced with a working card by leadtek..and their standard turnaround is a month..where as overclockers rma stuff in a couple of days (cause they rock) ;)

That doesn't sound good! I contacted them last night and they said to go to the people i brought it from, they obviously missed the bit where i said it was 2 years old..

OK, Clockers have found no fault with the card and I picked it up on Saturday. It's worked fine until tonight when it's started artefacting and now just either dies or completely corrupts - even in VGA mode. Most unhappy and will email clockers in the morning. Having said that though, I may aswell contact Leadtek directly.
