I've recently been playing league of legends (www.leagueoflegends.com) with a few of my mates online.

The game is totally free and is made by the original creators of the popular DOTA mod from warcraft 3.

I can highly recommend it (not only because i want some referals for bonus's ;))

As much as this looks like im just trying to get referals it is actually an awesome game and i've been totally addicted to it for the last 2 weeks!

Err, I hope the above post was a troll.

Just in case it is genuine, IP or Influence Points are awarded to players after each game played in LOL and they allow you to unlock new characters or runes.

So getting double IP per game over the weekend is definitely a decent bonus.

No, I genuinely thought you needed an extra internet connection to play. :rolleyes:

I actually play LoL a lot - as can be seen by the amount of Influence Points I've got here at home: 192.168.0.1
 
Can someone say if there is anything in the slightest that needs to be paid for, i.e. expansions, item shop etc etc. or is it 100% free?

What about the referral thing? What does that give you if you refer people?
 
its 100% free.

you can buy everything with ingame money earned from playing games.

the only stuff you need real money for are different character skins which are only cosmetic and nothing else the actual characters and runes can be bought with ingame currency

Have they added any more maps? It got incredibly boring after playing the same two levels over and over and over and over.
