Just a heads up BBC3 will be covering the quarter-finals in London today and over the weekend. They will be having their own casters on the "red button" and on Iplayer.

It will be:

Dev - From radio 1 - Presenter
Julia Hardy - presenter
Leigh 'DeMan' Smith - game caster
James 'Stress' O'Leary - game caster
Richard 'Pulse' Kam - game caster
Joe "Dont call me joe" Joe" Miller - Production

They have also put some beginner video's up on the page to explain some things.

I highly recommend anyone into esports to tune in on iplayer or the red button so the BBC see that we are interested in this kind of thing and hopefully will put it on for more things e.g. CS:GO in the future.

Im presuming this starts after 7pm tonight on BBC3 red button when the channel goes 'live' for the night?

I don't know, this kind of feels like a downgrade from Twitch to BBC3. Not sure why anyone would care about it being on 'mainstream' tv, we have Twitch.

Just put it on and it's currently showing off arena from WoW , are they trying to bring esports in general to a wider audience?
