That's quite a big jump which makes me think that something was off with the old drivers.
Either way it's a nce boost for me :)

Edit - I think I had AA and AF on with the old drivers which would have been turned off when the new drivers were installed.

It was meant to be a quick test but I've messed up, so I'll have another go tonight. I'll get the Cat 6.6s as well.
I don't have the biggest collection of games that I can use to test, but I'll try get a feel for Oblivion and I can run the HL2 stress test, as well as the usual benchies.
 
Working fine for me, these are official, same happened with the 6.6's, they were leaked before ATi put them up to, and they were the exact same drivers, whats the point in waiting till ATi put them up, they are only going to put up the exact same drivers, your only getting them from another site, theirs no differance. :confused:
 
can any say if these are ok with battlefield 2, im still using 6.3's cos every set of cats since them has given me a black screen when loading the game if my card is overclocked. Card is stable and work fine with 6.3's
 
any news guys?

they any good then?

i will try them when i get in from work tonite on a clean install and post results but that wont be till gone 8pm.

So if any others have tried them let me know

Same problems here, its really odd. Its down to the 2D/3D switch at the start of BF2.
 
much the same results but for me it has changed the 2d/3d switching in ATI tool.

I previously could never get the 3d clocks to work, it always defaulted to the 2d clocks when i started 3dmarks 05 or any 3d application. Now i select which one i want in ATI tool and it now works - wahey!!! :) :)

so finally i can get some benchies for my X1900xt and get it to stretch it's legs a bit.

2d clocks (500/1200) - 8983
3d clocks (625/1450) - 10478

That's more like it!!
