Leaking D5 dual bay

My D5 dual bay res is leaking from the LED mount. I tried undoing it to check it and it cracked. The D5 has been installed for a few months without any problems.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm thinking I can patch it up with epoxy rather than go to the expense of replacing it?

Epoxy will fix it. But might leak in future.

Would silicone be a better option?
