Its pretty good value and if you didn't want to do it yourself, some roofers actually offer a lifetime guarantee. Here is a full EPDM roofing kit on the bay:

thanks! do you think it could be laid direct to the concrete slab, or wiser to lay some plywood first then rubber on top ?
Thanks Brozart, I hadn't previously considered EPDM as I assumed it was too expensive, but that isn't bad.
How would you go about sealing this to an existing brick wall?
ahh my flat roofs a bit bobbly so maybe a plywood sheet first would be best
