In bed.
I am in university and I am looking into learning max OSX operating system as we are learning linux windows ect in depth and feel having knowledge of max osx would help in later life. I was looking at getting a MAC mini maybe? Anyone know any cheap or decent ways of doing this? Bare in mind I am open to open box but can never seem to get it to work. And would like a proper machine for it like I did with linux.

Thanks guys.

Lol sorry I did post this early in the night! ;)

I was told a mac mini would be a good idea but they are a little bad. I had an IOS device Iphone 4 and a Ipod touch 5th gen with IOS and I learnt as time got on they got worse in terms of performance. Is this the same case as with MAC OSX? Was looking at a new mac mini really hook it up to a screen and be good to go!

the student discount you'll get is better than anything else you'll find in a store - it's around 10% i think. you'll also find when you sell it again, it will hold it's value something crazy as long as it's not damaged. i know, i've been looking for a second hand 2010 or more recent one!

You could even consider a macbook air - that will replace a tablet AND give you something to learn on? kinda dual purpose

I have been looking into using the student discount while I am a student. I have so many machines getting a little out of hand. I was looking at a basic pro with 8Gb i5 ect decent enough tho anyone know if I can dual boot with ubuntu?
