Hey guys, I recently started a new job, which is out of town, the oppertunity was too good to pass up and getting there on public transport is a bit of a trek... So I need to learn to drive as soon as possible, which was something I was planning on doing anyway, but need it now.

Wondering of what options people could recommend as a quick way to learn, I think that I will probably not need that much in the way of teaching, I know most of the rules of the road and the basics and cannot imagine it taking me any large amount of time to learn.

I've heard of crash courses and things like that, anyone got any experience of these types of things?

1/2 week intensive courses, you will need to have taken a lesson or 2 first "assessment lessons" quite costly IIRC, and are not very recommended round these here parts :p

That is your best bet though if it needs to be quick. First things first, before doing the 2 week course etc. get booked in for your theory and complete! otherwise you might have completed the course but not done the theory thus slowing the process down (this is what an instructor told me before)
