how many hours in total did you pay for lessons before you passed you test?

im just wondering because id like to get an idea of what its going to cost.

It cost me about $400-600 Australian dollars but im 100% sure that the ways to get your licence compared to how i got mine is different :)

you are probaby looking at about 6 months worth including waiting for your test and passing first time. the cost of your test and theory are extra on top aswell. it will also depend on what company u go with. i went with bsm cos they gave me a student discount.

do you think it would be possible for someone to have 10-15hrs lessons and pass?

I had 15 hours of lessons including the 2hrs on my test day, and did it within 3 months.

However I had driven a car before, had my own car which I went out in with parents, I picked it up very quickly and had a great instructer.

I also had 4 lessons in 5 days near the beginning, in which I did most of my manouvres, and then had 1 per week while I was waiting for my test date. If I'd booked the test earlier, I would have got through it sooner, and probably after about 10 lessons.

Every person is different. If you can pick it up very quickly and can practice in your own car outside of lessons, then you can get it done quickly.

i had 17 hours of lessons but 3 of them were just to keep me used to drivign whilst waiting for the test, so yea it's possible :)

yeh, and the 2 hours you have to book the instructors car for, another £46

and the test

and the theory

ouch :( explains why i am so poor now.

:edit have just seen, they have gone up to £24.50 in my area now!

it took me about 15 lessons with a local private instructor 9£10 a lesson) plus a lot of driving with my dad in the car and a little bit f driving with my mum in the car.

it's all about ropactice, the more practice you can get the faster you will eb able t pass your practical.

22 - 25 lessons, over 4months, going out an hour a week with instructor, but never went out with parents.was paying £14 a lesson then i think.

Ive had about 15 lessons now + was insured on my grandads car for a month going out 2 -3 times a week, and my test is tomorow so we will see if its possible :p

i had 25 lessons, + the extra 2 hours to cover my test and a lesson on the morning of my test * that by 16 per hour comes out to £432, not including test fees.

p.s. good luck for tomorrow toy soldier :D

If I was you Id find someone that does intensive courses, I can recommend them no-end. Me and all my mates and my little sis used this one guy, and we all past first time, and was good value.
