Guys,

I built my rig 2 years ago for my flight sims, but only really scratched the surface on overclocking. I have been using the options in ASUS AI Suite. I know the pros do it via the BIOS, I'm not there yet! Is there an alternative to AI suite that I can use that is compatible with my mobo (in sig).
Thank you.

best way is to do it in the bios

main voltages to adjust and get right are vtt/imc,cpu voltage/offset and the loadline calibration level

what did you want to oc to?

4.5ghz-4.6ghz I would have thought, before volts or temps would limit you

you can try

cpu/pcie clock to 100
loadline calibration to high
45x cpu multiplier
cpu voltage to offset then set offset to +0.020v
set phase control to extreme

make a note of what the load cpu voltage and the core temps are while stressing in windows

msi afterburner to oc the gpu will get you a few more fps :)

same principle...up the core/ram and voltages a bit at a time and use heaven to test and keep eye on temps
