I've been wondering why Nvidia and AMD don't offer a leasing service on their graphics cards or a similar system to mobile phones; you pay a rolling monthly cost to "own" the card and then at the end of the two year contract you're "encouraged" to trade it in as a deposit towards the next card and 2 year contract. It could include access to games to 'own' too like EA Access or whatever it is called.
It wouldn't be something for me but with the redonkulous prices for the RTX cards it might be tempting, and I'm sure Nvidia could squeeze a few more pennies out of people this way?
If your 2080ti is £1,200 normally, I could see people paying £30 to £40 a month for games access and a GPU. This is £1,400 to £1,920 over 2 years.
Would you go for it? How much would be prepared to spend a month for a GPU and access to the main AAA games?

. Why buy for cash what you can pay for over the long term and throw another 20%, 40% + of the cost away on it
. Makes people feel better the payment is spread but at the end of the day lelasing GP's will likely cost more than buying them
