least amount of memory to go in a Htpc

Hi guys what the least amount of memory you would put in a Htpc ?

The cpu is q8200 with zotac 9300 mobo.

What sort of media is it going to be used for, HD or SD, and what OS?

I'd agree 2gb, although depending on what it's going to be doing and the videocard you may possibly want a little more (assuming it'll have at least one free memory slot i'd go with 2gb, then if need be you could add a bit more later).

Both HD and SD. its only for films nothink else
