I'm in the process of upgrading a family member's pc and they really do not want spend a lot, the minimum amount possible really, so....would 2 x 1gb of DDR3 be sufficient to use with Win 7 with the pc being used for the average sort of stuff that non enthusiasts would do, saving pics/ photos, sending / receiving emails, data storage, ms office, downloading from itunes/listening to music, surfing the inerweb, etc.....no gaming at all.
I know DDR3 is dirt cheap atm but if I can save 'em a tenner, then thats brownie points for me.
personally i'd rather slap 2 x 2gb in as minimum, but if the pc would run ok with 1 x 1gb then so much the better.
What do ppl here reckon
Cheers
